Roller Skating at The Plex

If you’re looking for some indoor fun in the Outer Banks, visit the Liberty Tax Sportsplex.  The Plex features roller skating, and over 20,000 square feet of multi-sport surface, mini-turf field and competition ready cheer/tumble area. 

The Liberty Tax SportsPlex is located just three miles north of the Wright Memorial Bridge in Currituck, NC.  The entire facility is 27,000 square feet and is currently configured to host Roller Skating & Indoor Soccer (futsal) at night and on weekends, and Camp Caratoke on weekdays. 

In the fall the facility will be re-configured to host the Ice Haus Ice Skating Center and a Multi-Use Indoor Soccer court, Volleyball courts and Indoor Tennis courts. The featured playing surface is called SportCourt and allows for many other indoor uses.

Rental Skates 
The Plex is currently stocked with over 300 pairs of quad style roller skates with inline skates arriving soon. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own skates if they prefer.

Digital Music System & Light Show
Everybody loves skating to music at The Plex, as the center features a state of the art digital music system.  It has something for everyone, and also allows songs by request.  The light show adds the perfect atmosphere to jazz up your skating experience nightly!

SideLine Cafe
For all of the customers looking for a great sandwich, traditional concessions or a refreshing beverage, the SideLine Café is great place to hang out, catch a game on the satellite TV’s, or just take a break from all the roller skating excitement.

Camp Caratoke

All summer long, kids are having a great time at Camp Caratoke, playing a range of various sports.  Camp is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with early drop off and late pickup available.  Sign up for the full week, or come one day at a time.  Drop the kids off and know they will be safe and secure, while parents enjoy the Outer Banks on their own, or have some quiet alone time.  At camp, kids can go roller skating, swimming, play soccer, baseball, volleyball, tennis and more!  The Camp is affiliated with Kilmarlic Health and Racquet, and kids also get to utilize the facilities at the Soundside Park.

Kilmarlic Health & Racquet Club:
Camp Caratoke is affiliated with the wonderful Kilmarlic Health and Racquet Club.  Kilmarlic is located a short drive away, and offers an olympic size swimming poll, 8 tennis courts, and a modern fitness center.

Soundside Park:
Currituck County offers the beautiful Soundside Park, which includes soccer fields, baseball diamonds, tennis courts, outdoor swingsets and sound access.
